Driving anywhere from here is an adventure, with astounding views of nature and surprise visits from our hoofed neighbors. Yet it is my own little yard I'm appreciating now with its December nasturtiums in bloom, sunshine I can pick after the frost and bring in to a windowsill to enjoy.
How good it is to focus on feeling fine (instead of my usual intense efforts at trying to improve myself, which today I am experiencing as quite tiresome, even nagging).
May you find joy in contentment, too.

Wonderful shots of the deer! Definitely brings a sense of contentment with life. Animals will do that. :) And how wonderful that you are still in bloom there! Am glad you are feeling okay just the way you are...
ReplyDeletelove the photos and the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteThanks, friends! . . . Oh, and that's a black-tailed deer in the first photo (taken when I was in Ashland, Oregon, recently, which is about two and a half hours from home) and the second one is of an elk (taken last weekend in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, which is about 45 minutes from here).
